Little Rock, Arkansas (June 3, 2024) – Summit Utilities Arkansas (Summit) is announcing its community giving grant program, Summit Cares, will officially open its online application Monday, June 3, 2024. Summit encourages non-profit organizations that serve in its service territories to apply online here. Summit Cares will choose qualifying non-profit organizations to receive the grant funding.
“Summit is committed to forming meaningful partnerships, and community giving is the way to focus on enriching the lives in the areas we serve,” said Fred Kirkwood, Chief Customer Experience Officer for Summit. “It’s our honor to provide Summit Cares grant funding to these hard-working organizations.”
In 2024, Summit Cares will support non-profit organizations working to enrich the quality of life for our customers. Summit’s charitable giving grant awards will focus on these areas of interest:
Each year Summit donates funding to the hard-working non-profit organizations that serve the communities. Previously, Summit donated over $200,000 to qualifying organizations focusing on food insecurity and child well-being & advocacy programs.
Applications will be accepted between June 3, 2024 - July 12, 2024.
A Summit team member-led review committee will review the applications to award funding amounts ranging from $500 - $4,000. The announcement of the Summit Cares grant recipients will occur mid-August 2024. Applicants will be limited to not-for-profit 501(c)(3) status organizations in the Summit service areas of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texarkana, Texas.
