Little Rock, Arkansas (June 2, 2025) – Summit Utilities Arkansas (Summit) is proud to announce the return of its annual community giving program, Summit Cares, with online applications opening Monday, June 2, 2025. Non-profit organizations serving communities in Summit’s service areas are encouraged to apply here.

“Supporting the communities we serve is a core value at Summit,” said Fred Kirkwood, Chief Customer Experience Officer. “Through Summit Cares, we’re proud to partner with non-profits working hard every day to make a difference in people’s lives.”

The 2025 Summit Cares grants will support nonprofit organizations that focus on:

• Basic Human Needs
• Community Enrichment
• Environmental Stewardship
• STEAM Education

Last year, Summit contributed $50,000 in grant funds to Arkansas organizations that aligned with our giving focus areas.

Applications for the 2025 Summit Cares Community Giving Grant Program will open on June 2, 2025, and close on July 11, 2025. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations operating within Summit Utilities’ service areas in Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas. Grant awards will range from $1,000 to $4,000, with recipients to be announced in mid-August 2025.

Applications will be reviewed by a team member-led committee to determine grant recipients.
