Summit Utilities Arkansas was voted by readers of Arkansas Money & Politics as “Most Admired” in the gas utility category.

AMP asked its readers to name their favorite Arkansas businesses in 62 different categories using a criterion that includes financial soundness, bold innovation, brand awareness, quality of product, outstanding people, and social responsibility. Readers were given several options in each category. They then submitted their votes online and the firms chosen by AMP readers as the “Most Admired” in Arkansas for 2022 are listed in the magazine’s June issue.

Although the voting took place while CenterPoint Energy still operated the utility, the readers of AMP voted for the hardworking men and women that make up Summit Utilities Arkansas.

“Arkansas is full of successful businesses that have become a part of the fabric of the communities they serve, if not the entire state,” said AMP. “These operations are not only successful businesses, but conscientious community partners. We hold all businesses in high esteem, especially after the roller coaster ride of the last two years, and we tip our hat to those owners who managed to adapt, navigate, and survive.”
